Exotic car rental FAQBefore you book.

Requirements, deposits and policies, in plain language.

Before you book

Who can rent?
To rent you need to:
  • Be at least 18 years old (renters under 21 go through extra review and may pay a Young Renter Fee of up to 20%)
  • Hold a valid, unrestricted driver's license
  • Carry insurance that meets our requirements
  • Have a credit or debit card in your name
  • Pass ID verification at pickup
What insurance do I need?
Your own personal auto insurance with at least $100,000 / $300,000 bodily injury, $100,000 property damage, and comprehensive and collision with a deductible of $1,000 or less. Coverage must extend to high-value rental vehicles, so please check with your carrier. We do not offer a damage waiver. We accept a U.S. personal auto policy, an approved rental-specific policy bought for your trip, or a corporate policy. Credit-card rental benefits can be extra coverage but don't replace these.
What deposits are required?
A $250 non-refundable booking deposit secures your reservation and goes toward your rental total. A security deposit of at least $1,500 is held on your card at pickup and released after a clean return. Within 10 business days of return, we release it or send you an itemized list of anything applied. Card issuers usually post the release in 5 to 10 business days after that.
Do you deliver?
Yes. We deliver to Miami International Airport, your home, hotel, office or anywhere you need the car, from Miami Beach to West Palm Beach. Delivery fees are quoted when you book.
What is the cancellation policy?
  • 24+ hours before pickup: the booking deposit is kept and the rest of your balance is refunded.
  • Within 24 hours, or a no-show: no refund.
  • Need to move dates? Contact us. We may apply your deposit to a new date within 90 days, based on availability.
How can I pay?
We accept credit cards, debit cards, cash, Zelle and Venmo. A credit or debit card in your name still needs to be on file for the security deposit. We'll confirm our business payment details in writing — never send money to any other account.

During your rental

How many miles are included?
Every car includes a daily mileage allowance between 75 and 100 miles. Extra miles are $3 to $6 per mile. Each car's page lists its exact numbers.
Can someone else drive?
Only the renter named on the rental agreement can drive, unless we approve an additional driver in writing before the rental. The additional driver signs an addendum, must meet all of our requirements, and an additional driver fee may apply.
What about fuel?
Every car leaves with a full tank of premium 91-octane fuel. Please return it full. Otherwise, refueling is charged at cost plus a $100 service fee.
What if I return the car late?
Late returns are $150 per hour or partial hour past your scheduled time, capped at two times the daily rate for each 24 hours late. Need more time? Ask us before your return time; an extension only counts once we approve it in writing.
What happens if the car is damaged?
Tell us within four hours. We don't offer a damage waiver, so you're responsible for damage during your rental and your insurance is primary. We'll send you a written notice with photos and a repair estimate, and we only charge your card for damage with your written consent; otherwise we work through your insurer.
Can I smoke or vape in the car?
No. Smoking and vaping of any kind are prohibited and carry a reconditioning fee of at least $1,000.

Driving in South Florida

Are there tolls in Miami?
Yes. Many South Florida highways and causeways, including the Rickenbacker and Venetian Causeways, are cashless toll roads. Tolls from your rental are passed through at the actual amount plus a $10 administrative fee per item, as described in our Terms of Service.
Can I drive to the Florida Keys?
Yes. You can drive anywhere in the continental U.S., including the Keys. Key Largo is about 60 miles from Miami and Key West about 160 miles each way, so check the car's daily mileage allowance and extra-mile rate, or ask us about a multi-day rental.
What happens if a storm affects my rental?
Safety comes first. If severe weather such as a hurricane stops us from delivering your car, you choose either a refund of prepaid amounts for the affected part of the rental (less the booking deposit) or a credit for everything you prepaid, including the booking deposit, toward a rental within 90 days. If we ask you to bring the car back early for safety, we refund unused full days.
Can I use valet parking?
Yes. Valet is common at Miami hotels and restaurants. You're responsible for the car while a valet has it, including any damage, so look the car over when it comes back to you.

These answers summarize our Terms Of Service. The terms and your rental agreement always control.
